The interior design of our own flat is a very demanding process both in terms of concept and performance. Today I would like to present you an interesting project made by Raca Architekci for young doctor’s couple. I hope, that maybe this particular style will inspire some of you..
The flat owners (total flat area is 68m2) wanted a simple, bright space in Scandinavian style, with tiny furniture and as cozy as possible. The only room, which they wanted to design in “darker way” is the bathroom. So taking into account the all expectations and wishes, the whole design is in shades of white and gray, complemented by combination of pomegranate and powder pink. Copper accessories and the oak floor are warming up the whole perfectly.
The large oak table, settled behind the sofa is a heart of the interior. This arrangement is very conducive to social meetings, it becomes the most important place in the home. We have also Muuto chairs, especially the pink one – Visu, which fits perfect to the other pink accessories. Two black lamps, hanging over the table are the Norman Copenhagen Bell middle size.
In the living room we have Calssic sofa designed by Polish brand Comforty, carpet Mack from BoConcept and navy blue RM58 airmchair by Polish brand Vzór, the hanging copper lamps are NA5 from &tradition. The coffee table was made by the flat owner himself.
The kitchen is big enough for the owners needs. It was designed in shades of white and gray, using a natural stone: Granite Viscount White, with an interesting pattern. You can also noticed some beautiful accessories: copper handles and a copper strip, which appeared on the back plate under the cabinets. Both the desk and the bookshelf were made of oak-colored laminated boards, connected with black steel bars. At the desk you can see swivel Muuto chair.
The designers’ main idea was to create some connection between different bathroom and the rest. That’s how the navy blue, kind of striped “casket” was created. In this way, we have a multifunctional piece of furniture that includes a wardrobe for outer clothes, an utility room with hidden doors, a hidden bathroom, fridge door and a cargo available from the kitchen side. In the hall area we have a pale pink wallpaper from Boråstapeter, and ceramic tiles from Vives. You are also able to notice the Plopp black table from Zieta.
The bedroom design style is similar to the living room. We have pink and navy blue accents here. The main piece of furniture is an oak, veneered bed. Each side of the bed is adapted to the individual needs. On the left side there is a wooden stool in a chrome casing from Malafor, the Flowerpot lamp is from &tradition. On the right side we have standing Peak lamp from Menu, and pink table from Hay. The small drawer is an ideal place for displaying art.
The dressing room was designed in the same way as the bookshelf in the living room. At this moment, the dressing room is open to the bedroom, but in the end it will be separated by a sliding glass door. Thanks to this solution, dust will not settle on the clothes.
The bathroom is decorated in dark colors. There are Ardesia Mix tiles on the walls from Coem. On the floor we have wood-like tiles arranged in herringbone (so-called Hungarian herringbone). In front of the entrance, there is a large hanging cabinet – Vero from Duravit. The whole is decorated with copper accessories: handles and copper, hanging NA5 lamp, which refer to the rest of the apartment style.
Summing up, the apartment looks simply fantastic. Elegance, modernity and class, are probably the best words we can use in this case. The materials, which have been used and all the accessories, gave the whole cozy character. Here, most of the furniture was made to order. The total cost of materials and work is 180,000 PLN.
